Salkantay trek Express to Machu Picchu 4 days, is one of the most popular alternative treks after the Inca trail classic 4 Days to the Inca town of Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

Day 1
CUSCO-MOLLEPATA-CRUZPATA-SORAYPAMPA
On the first day, we pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 am to drive for 3 hours until Mollepata town where we will meet with muleteers and horses, and also will have breakfast here. Then we will drive 30 minutes more until arriving at the hiking point Cruzpata.
This day not will be so hard because most of the route will be on a flat surface, during the first 3 hours you will observe unique Peruvian Andean landscapes, high snow-capped mountains, streams, and dwarf forests of the sierra, after lunch and resting time we will continue hiking 2 more hours until arriving to our first campsite Soraypampa. (15:00 pm). This day tourists will be able to go to Umantay Lake, a turquoise lagoon, surrounded by an imposing snow-capped mountain that will make you feel you are in a magic
Day 2
SORAYPAMPA- ABRA SALKANTAY -CHAULLAY
In the morning your hiking crew will wake you up early with a hot drink, served to you at your tent. This will be the longest and hardest day, we will uphill for 4 hours where we will see amazing mountains; flora, and fauna until arriving at the Salkantay pass (4600 m.a.s.l). Where we will have a guided tour about the Andean worldview currently and at Inca time, we will have lunch and resting time. We will continue hiking 4 more hours downhill, through beautiful streams and high jungle landscapes until arriving at our second campsite Chaullay.
Day 3
CHAULLAY-HIDROELECTRICA-AGUAS CALIENTES
After a delicious and nutritious breakfast, we will begin hiking. During the first part of the route, we will be able to observe different kinds of plants such as bromeliads, orchids, and ferns. The path will be intercalated between flat surfaces, ups, and downs until arriving at Playa Sahuayaku town where a car will be waiting to take us 2 hours to the town of Hidroelectrica, where we will have lunch and resting. Then we will continue hiking for 3 hours next to the train railway until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in accommodation.
Day 4
AGUAS CALIENTES-MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO
This day will be for sure the most fascinating for you because you will see Machupicchu in all its glory from dawn. We get up at 5:00 am and after our breakfast, we will go to the bus station for boarding the first bus that leaves at 5:30 am to be in Machupicchu at 6:00 am. Inside Machupicchu we will have 2 hours guided tour where you will visit the most remarkable places such as: el torreón semicircular, el templo de las tres ventanas, el intihuatana, el templo del cóndor, la sala de los morteros y el baño del inca. Then you will have free time to explore Machupicchu on your own or descend to Aguas Calientes (Lunch is not included). In the afternoon you will board the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, place from where you will be transported by tourist bus to Cusco. Estimated arrival to Cusco (20:00 pm)

Extra horse to ride or for any extra backpack.$ 120 for 3 days. (you can share with another person.
Note: if you need something to hire from us, we will for you, without any deposit (because most of the rental camping shops used to ask like 50 or 60 dollars for anything you want to take.
